They can do it so like maybe one can of soup costs 71 cents, another costs 74. They can just ring up the total for the entire thing at the checkout, and only then round up to the nearest nickel.
That's a good idea. Or round down to the nearest nickel.
Or - if its 2 or 1 round down. If its 3 or 4 - round up.

The issue is that they don't have the chance to know better since they're limited in social interactions and learning, and take what they're given by their parents.

Speaking of 'nonreligion' (is that against the rules?)
it will always be in a pronounced minority.
People often mistake that for nonreligion being 'superior' (which itself works out as a mistake and a big one) but regarding nonreligion and its opposite - the 'problem' isnt really that.
Its how people react to that.
I'm nonreligious myself.
But mankind has 'evolved' himself and herself into destroying the planet and it seems that that will only be stopped if big business is forced into a position where carbon fuels are no longer profitable and somehow the major powers will get rid of their nuclear weapons (how likely is that?) and world population starts going down (some optimists claim that will actually happen) and a stranglehold of the super-wealthy on the people is somehow broken.
None of those are likely these days. Nor is a decline of world pollution.
Even if China and India stop polluting - developing countries are likely to increase their's.
Will the world reach 2100 'in one piece' as it were?
Its like mankind will have to undergo a new kind of evolution 'against its own behaviour'.
