I'm bored so I will make this.

Everyone knows the trolley problem, right?

Well, now, we're taking it one step further.

Every day, if I can remeber, I will post a Trolley Problem with a twist and you will answer it.

You can discuss your answers, think about pros and cons of pulling the level and other stuff in the comments.

Or just, comment if you are gonna pull the lever or not, it's really that simple.

Note: You will NOT be affected by law while answering these theoretical questions.

The Original:

A trolley is heading towards 5 people. You can pull the lever to divert it to the other track, killing 1 person instead.

What do you do?

Pull the lever | Do nothing

While Pull the Lever makes sense morally, Do Nothing puts you in the least trouble. Assuming all of the people are strangers, I would Do Nothing. Call me a monster all you want, but its my life to look after, no?

"you aren't the one who put them on the tracks. you aren't the one who started the trolley. if you do nothing, you did not kill them."

Precisely. If i do pull the lever, fingerprints now incriminate me into killing one person. Even if it's third degree, that stays on your record.
