Also, they shut down comments for this article:

Now they first cowardly deleted and then shut down comments for this article:

Another article got the axe:

Let's have a rational and constructive conversation.

Don't give chessdotcom the reason to shut this down.

He he, I am sure you are right.

You are also a moderator, can you post a comment there to direct people here, so they can share their opinions about the article?

They didn't lock similar articles when similar comments were being made so... it comes across as very amateurish.

I agree, they should not post about something, if they are not ready for the honest feedback from the chess community.

Chess players are very opinionated bunch, comes with the territory.

I'm not sure about chess players being opinionated... and I'm not particularly a fan of culture war nonsense (on either side), but if that's the can they want to open they shouldn't complain about the mess... so to speak.

I've seen similar news topics where different groups were disparaged in the comments. In particular I thought comments against Jennifer Shahade in the Alejandro Ramírez article were tasteless... but chess.com allowed them.

I noticed that chessdotcom editorial is a mess lately, very inconsistent.

I agree with you about culture wars, they should not be promoted on a chess website.

Agenda pushing

which agenda do you think it is?

Unicorn_Horn12

Equality is worth pushing. I don't mind women's tournaments and speaking out against bad behavior... but that particular article was fairly childish, IMO.

I disagree, if they remove all the women's titles and tournaments, fewer women will be able to make money from chess.

I don't mind them trying to lure more women into chess... I do mind the idea that "sexual violence" is what's keeping women away from the game.
