Things I learned before it was too late

Here are a list of things I've learned during jamming my finger and really not being able to use my right hand. Please use these tricks and tips for when something you use most is disabled.

1. using your mouse with your left hand isn't that hard, just reverse your fingers.

2. if you need to wash your hair I suggest putting a bar of shampoo on your head and rub it around, it works really well.

3. using your left hand for eating isn't akward nor is it strange.

4. typing with your left hand only isn't hard either.

5. when your at Lamberts Cafe don't put your hand up for a roll to be thrown at you, it hurts.

6. try stretching your fingers that aren't disable to prevent making them fall asleep and have less blood flow.

7. keep your hand up to help prevent pain from swelling.

8. saltwater helps relieve swelling but if your in a pool it wont work because you are keeping your hand down.

9. you probably wont be able to put deodorant on unless your not disabled hand can reach its own arm pit.

10. not being able to move your finger makes you mad, so suggest taking your mind off of it. (no pun intended)

11. do not think its broken today but healed tomorrow. a fracture today is a fracture tomorrow.

12. find a way to lean your hand on your head or some way to make it look normal when you put your hand up to stop swelling and pain, otherwise you look weird.

13. eating does take your mind off the pain.

14. you cannot write with a different hand when your dominent hand is disabled, it wont work.

This list will be updated as I learn new things, please tell me your "things" you learned and I'll add them to the list!

SSSincerely,

Snake Andrews
