Some Australian Rules players have done well as punt kickers in the NFL - former rugby league player Jarryd Hayne is trying to make it there as a running back, or perhaps a kick returner. Obviously the Australian media have a particular perspective on this - would be interesting to see what any US colleagues think (or whether theyt've even heard of him... quite possibly not!)
