Iron Maiden, Metallica, Kiss, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody of Fire, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Blind Guardian, Epica
This list rocks.
Sonata arctica are pretty cool.
Rhapsody of Fire not my thing at all, but very erm personal sound that band has.
Lest we forget some of the pop rock bands that everyone likes, such as Imagine Dragons and Fallout Boy.

Gun'n'Roses Beatles Offspring U2 all fighting out for the last 2 spots.
Early U2 would be in 10 but not as keen on later stuff. Probably still sneak in 10 though
Always loved the Beatles.

10 is just not enough. There are too many good bands! I have loads more than 10 in my top 10.
But guys, all of these arent ROCK bands, are they? Bob Marley certainly not :)
I wouldnt even say U2 and Beatles is rock.
The Beatles would be considered classic rock. The rock genre is a very broad term, so U2 could loosely fit in. I'm not sure if Bob Marley could be included.
