Diakonia, let me speak through you! My amazing powers of coercion tell you only one thing: UNMUTE me! UNMUTE ME!!!

Yeah, it's funny to insult somebody in his own thread. It just says a lot about you.

It's funny that people like Blarg call me childish when it's difficult to remember a moment when he hasn't behaved in a childish way.

Also gerberk, if you don't like my threads why do you  keep posting on them? Is it like a drug for you?

Just took a look at Mr. Bell's profile. No comment.

TOS must ensure that chess.com is never open to any legal challenge or being sued etc...so the TOS are very wordy and boring

Well, the TOS doesn't really stop someone from suing Chess.com. If a jury or judge thought that a clause in the TOS was unreasonable, Chess.com could still come out on the short end of the stick.

That's a good point a lot of people forget, that there's a limit to what contracts can bind you to. Unfortunately, few companies consider this, and prefer to rely on the weight a corporate legal team has versus a personal one.

TOS are a fallible  attempt to achieve the impossible

In fairness, though, every set of rules or laws ever written could be characterized that way.

Exactly, rules are powerless in the face of our human nature
