The process of becoming a vampire is complicated. In order to turn into a vampire, you don't just have to be bitten by a vampire. You need to taste some of the vampire's blood, which will turn you into a fledgling and then a vampire.

The vampires only hunt humans, but you always specifically mention "human blood" at the end... Any particular reasons for that, or do you do it to make the statement catchy?
Actually human blood is really tasty. Vampires hunt humans because of that, and because to add members to their clan. Like they'll just turn the human. Well at least that's what happens in most books. Vampires can choose to drink animal blood, but it doesn't taste as good as human blood. It's kind of like, disgusting like broccoli. And also vampires do drink a lot of stuff. they can't eat, but they drink almost every drink in the world to make up for that, again, like I said, at least that's what happens in most of the books.
