I played the first Diablo a little. My research professor had it installed on the office computers and we played it during downtime when there was no more data entry to complete/analyze. I would have gone on for my Ph.D., I suppose, had everything been graded on Diablo and he’d been able to get a grant to study our reaction time or EEG responses or something while playing it. This is the iteration from over 20 years ago. Dungeon crawler, not mmorpg.
