i stun you with a stun grenade and i take your spot. To protect myself, I put a few turrets around me.
I'm the spy from TF2 and I sap your turrets
damn! I use the rocket jumping technique with my TF2 soldier and hit you with my shovel, taking your place and knocking you out!

I swipe you with my tiger claws and then vanish into the wilderness..like a tiger
I burn the wilderness.
I fly a plane filled to the brim with gasoline and tnt into your exact locations and since I die in the plane, i cannot be defeated. Checkmate, I win.
I then go to a nice, big city and buy a big warehouse with a ton of security cameras and lasers and ninjas
And the walls are like a bomb shelter so your plane doesn't affect me

The idea is that you want to be the person on top. So, what you do is you attack whoever's on top and then defend yourself.
Much like in protect the sandwich, you can't make yourself completely invincible, however you could do something that people would have to think hard about to get through.
