ways to sniff out cheaters

I believe its our duty as online chess players to locate and report cheaters. So I have compiled a simple list that may be effective at finding cheaters.

1. Cheaters hardly if ever lose... The main point in cheating is to win! So if you run into someone that is 50-1-0 they will most likely will be cheaters and you can analyize their games with Fritz or chessmaster.

2. Not all cheaters start out that way... If you see that someone has won 30 games stright but their record is 60-25 there is a strong possiblity they started to use chess engines to help with their sudden amazing win streak.

3. Cheaters love tournaments... If your in a big tournament and they have a 25-0-0 record there is a big chance they are not being honest. Take a look at some of their games and put them against fritz or chessmaster.

4. They beat everyone within 30 moves or less... If you go onto their profile and they win games in 15 moves against players rated 1600+ consistantly! then its a good idea to run their games through fritz or chessmaster.

5. Not all cheaters use 100% of the chess engines suggestions... Many cheaters realize that they can be caught if they keep beating players in 20 moves so they may start out using their own openings and in mid game use fritz or chessmaster or start using fritz in the opeings and when they have a distict advantage use their own skill these players are harder to find but not impossible. You can use your better judgement on this and if you feel that you were playing a real player at first and all of a sudden they become a 3300 rated player then you should consider the possiblity of a cheating player.
