What Einstein (And All the Others) Did Not Realise

Is that the Universe is a singularity. Before and after the Big Bang. Why nothing travels faster than the 'speed of light' is precisely because the Universe is a singularity. Space-time exists within the singularity and so do we, giving us a particular view of the singularity.

Einstein's famous view of relativity on the train needs refining thus, while the passenger is 'local' and everything moves relative to the passenger, the train on the opposite track would approach at up to twice the speed of light without the Universe being a singularity.

This concept is tough to grasp, like GM chess puzzle.

Constructive comments most welcome.

What is a singularity?

ivandh

Of course! Einstein was such an idiot!

A singularity is a point in space that approaches zero width, length and breadth. There is only one single point inside a singularity, hence the name.

I'm not quite sure how the Universe is supposed to fit into a single point. It may be that the term singularity is being used in its other definition, a fancy word to make it sound like you know what you're talking about...

Thanks for responding.

Good question.

A singularity would be a receptacle of dimensions but itself would have properties and rules.

I am a researcher floating ideas among people capable of abstract reasoning and thought.

dumbdog62

A singularity is NOT a point in space. Space-time exists in the singularity!

ivandh

So it's a trash-bin to you eh? I would agree that we're all down the can but for different reasons.

Wolfbird

Your definition of a singularity is unclear and vague dumbdog62. Can you put it into an example?

dumbdog62

Hi Wolfbird, i try to imagine a dimensionless entity, that nevertheless exists. It defines the laws of space-time and energy-matter.

Space-time is a local phenomena that is supported by the singularity.

A key aspect of the singularity is the speed of light and how it would appear to transend space-time and have some dimensionless properties.

dumbdog62

Indeed, e=mc2 is a law of the singularity. Space-time accomodates this law.

An adaption of Einstein's law would satisfy conditions pre big bang.

Simply e=m(c(1-j))2.

Where j=universal quaduatoral factor.

Adding more, Bohr's experiment on quantum mechanics adds weight to the fact that the universe is in fact a singularity

As matter approaches a black hole it first transitions into 2-dimensions before entering the local singularity.

dumbdog62

In the 2-dimensional phase of transition the laws of magnetism decay and are counter-balanced by the decay of electric force.

What we observe as jets of matter emminating from our super-massive black hole at the centre the milky way is in fact 2-dimēnsional space.
