what happens when chess.com goes offline for 5 minutes?

I dont want to copy redsoxpawn but i want the answer too. Im asking erik and the crew; What happens when the site goes offline for 5 minutes. what do you all do?

we turn on the TV and relax for 5 whole minutes!

 

just kidding. we release a bunch of code (updates, changes, fixes) that we can't do while we are online because they affect the database. and if you do it WHILE the site is live and people are doing stuff it could corrupt the database or lose data.  

 

nerdy stuff :)

 not unless we are offline for more than 30 minutes.

I don't believe that for a second.  Let's get something straight here:  "erik" is not a person but an AI construct that is slowly taking over the world via a fiendish cyber-conspiracy involving chess sites.  When the site goes offline for any amount of time, "erik" is just marshaling all his resources to penetrate deeper into various defense networks.  Remember the movie "Colossus: The Forbin Project"?  It is really a true story disguised as fiction to get past "erik's" censoring software.
