What is ∞/∞ ?

So now Infinity is "irrational??"

I'm actually enjoying this!

Irrational is infinity, but infinity is not irrational.

Infinity is not even a part of the real number set in the first place, so how can you call it irrational?

Aah zeroth pointed it out before me.

See, now the question I'm asking is what is (inf+inf)/inf?

∞*2 = ∞

∞/∞ = any positive real number or ∞

(have already given the explanation in earlier comments)

Thanks for the assistance, and "rational" reasoning, SriyogeshS.

I think you made her/him LEAVE, Brother!

I misspoke. When I said irrational I was thinking about how it was not a number so it could not be an answer to a question that included numbers. When you deal with numbers whether you multiply, divide, add, or subtract you always get a number. If you did 8x/2x and x equaled 5 you wouldn’t say “cat” you would answer with a number. Therefore you cannot say “Infinity” to a question that has to do with numbers just like you wouldn’t say chicken and horse are 5

Nope.

If x^2 is 2. Then x is a real number.

That was your worst post so far.

I left due to work related things. Unlike you kids I have responsibilities outside of explaining simple things to close-minded adolescents.

You left to j...werk?

And I'm not an adolescent, House Nanny.

"Invorrect as Infinity cannot be subjecated to be the answer as it is irrational as is pi and cannot be used as an aswer due to it not being a number but a concept to refer to an endless amount."

That defeated your self, and your fellow id*ot blepppy in one swift swoop!

"

It is any positive real and infinity.

For infinity goes into infinity any positive real and infinity number of times.

On a sidenote, what then is 0/0?"

What then is your argument against that, Sir?

∞ is the answer because you can fit infinity infinity times into infinity
