oh i turned it off and i see ads. but i will turn it back on lol. i didnt even know it had ads but i saw the premuim thing say with no ads
Chess.com web interface is much better than Lichess. The mobile chess.com has smaller chess figurines than liches and hurt your eyes. It has a lot of training rooms. Otherwise on Lichess you can only play chess and solve ugly pattern puzzles. This is the old way...just play chess if you want to improve. The other thing is that lichess is like a city of indians and poor people only.

#19 not everything that's free is better. Apparently, lichess has much weaker cheater detection than chess.com (probably because it's free), ratings are inflated, because they use another rating system, the Glicko 2, and you can't see your rating if you are not in a game. 😂

As a primary user of lichess I have a few reasons.
- Its free. Everything. Which is great for anybody who is undecided if they want to pay money for a hobby.
- Puzzles are generated organically from user games vs chess.com which has a very limited selection of puzzles in the higher ratings. I frequently see duplicates at higher puzzle rating, unlike on lichess.
- analysis feature is accurate on lichess. Sometimes chess.com has wrong notation like stating an inaccuracy when a move is theory. It also doesnt offer brilliants which is a blatant cash grab
- Match fixing. Chess.com fixes organizes opponents to encourage high win/loss streaks rather than just find the best person for your rating range. This is an effect similar to how casinos operate, designed to build an addiction.
- pre-moves dont use any actual game time. I have premoved over 50 moves in a row without losing any time. on chesscom that forcefully uses 5 seconds, making time scrambles a joke on chess.com
- studies > classroom as it saves them for you, and anyone can use them even if the host is offline
- lichess analytics is a fantastic statistical tool where chess.com offers no close alternate.
- The merch is cooler.
- database is free to look at, masters and lichess database can be separated and looked at independently
- more customizability with menus, icons, sounds, etc.
- generally less toxic players. chess.com chat is a lot of "haha you blundered" and I rarely see that in lichess. In fact ive met a few friends there.
The hypocritical thinking in here is astounding and rather funny so lichess has bad lag - so does here, lichess has cheaters - so does here.
The lichess players are not as good and their ratings are inflated - that is total Bologna, I bet if an average player was to play 100 games on each site they'd win far more on chess. Com than on lichess.
Without doubt here is a better environment to play chess better interface better board and pieces set up etc but let's not hate on lichess and make up stuff which is clearly not true
What is better at Lichess then Chess.com? I heard some people perfer Lichess then Chess.com.
