There are a lot of products online. If it’s immediately after exposure, and the rash has NOT formed yet, you could pour bleach on the area of skin that was exposed, and quickly rinse it with water after. To stop the spread of ivy, when you wash your hands, scratch the palms of your hands so that the soap gets under your nails and neutralizes the oil from the ivy.

Scalding hot water on the effected area feels great, taking a bottle cap and scratching the effected area feels great. But probably not best for your skin.

Experience: outdoorsman who gets poison ivy yearly.

Not to step in it surprise.pngjust kidding I had it once as a kid.  You have lots of help here on poison Ivy. There are herbal remedies as well such as Burdock which you can apply externally to the skin or internally as well don't know what I was treated with as a kid. Lobelia is another externally applies herb. I will share a neat one.  First, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Bathe the area with vinegar or apply chickweed ointment to relieve the itch. Epsom salts or oatmeal baths may also provide some comfort. Internally try drinking a combination of equal parts of chaparral and Echinacea. There I shared about 4 remedies that are herbal.

I'm sure the pharmacy has a solution, come to think of it I believe my aunt applied that pink stuff in a bottle you get at the pharmacy?
