Use the Internet then. Am not sure why you disbelieve me. I'd have though a superfan like yourself would know all this already :)

Mike when you’ve been on this site long enough, you’ll understand why I take such comments as your one , with a pinch of salt .

I may have to be on less if it turns me as cynical as you. Some of you Woollys make some sense but whichever of you is using the account today is one of the stranger ones... Can you ask your mate to log in instead please

As an ex port Vale season ticket holder and shareholder as well as being an ex branch secretary in the Labour Party it is evident to everyone that I know nothing about football and politics :) :)

Guy above said you were Itude.

Couldn't really care less either way. Keep making a political point of cheering for Real lol

He seems obsessed with that. No idea whyhe thinks it but I'll leave him to amuse himself. No idea who ltude is... But hope he's a Vale fan too :)

I'm not bothered if you're Micheal Jackson tbh.

I find it daft to be supporting Real for non-footballing reasons, and put it down to being on a wind-up.

Not a wind up... Like I support whoever is playing mk dons too

I said non-footballing reasons. Just enjoying a team's style of play or whatever is a different subject.

Even recently it was Real Madrid and Perez who were the driving force behind the European super league, something he still intends on trying to make happen

Cool... Can you write a list of reasons that you consider acceptable to want a team to win or lose

You're the one saying you support Real Madrid for political reasons, and going on about Chelsea.

Then you have the far-right ultras, the nationalist sentiment, the history with Franco, the general wealth of the club, the constant dodgy dealings, etc.

Hi Guy’s ! ……not long to go now ! ……..Woolly’s got his ham rolls and lager 🍺 ready for the off ! ✌️😹

3 away goals though...

Was great that year they beat Barca with Torres skipping around the keeper.

There's some hope.

Port Vale (as I've said alot but seemingly need proof) are the am I support. As well as vale I find myself wanting other teams to win if they are playing teams I want to lose. For example teams close to vale in the league. Teams supported by colleagues so walking in to work on a Monday morning is more fun :) plus teams I just don't like. So yesterday I wanted real and villareal to win and tonight I want man City and benefica to win... It is quite simple and nothing to do with my choice of gardening tools

Chelsea lost in their second leg against Real Madrid in extra time. They were by far the better team on the night, they played a powerful game against their opponents, and but for a goal that was ruled out they would have won . It was their first leg against their opponents, that let them down , had they played that game , with the same intensity as in their second leg , they would have won .

football draws from a wide fanbase , many who follow clubs that have a "right leaning " attitude amongst some fans may themselves be apolitical and just support their local club ,

There are some though that nail the colours to the mast in this regard , one of the best known is a club called St Pauli ,i like what their fans stand for , a deep hatred of fascism ,

me i follow Liverpool , we have fans from a wide spectrum , be that culturally or politically , its notthe politics i love my club for , its their long history of being a great footballing side ,

i really like how the team has been in recent years , bold attacking football , scared of none ,

Strange comment, since you've plonked yourself into the convo.

The gent was making a comment about Chelsea, Putin, and Real Madrid.

We aren't talking about 2nd tier clubs like Millwall. But that would be another team which would be a bit odd for someone to support just to look to wind-up a Chelsea fan imo.

I found it an odd choice. English people sometimes (rarely) support Real Madrid for the teams which they can put together, and nothing else.

Although I was impressed by Real Madrid's English TV channel, which they used to put on under Calderon's presidency, and would watch it often.
