Why do some people's rating say unrated??

Bodhidharma

I used to have 1728 ( not that it tells me anything useful )...but now I am unrated !!! I like it but my opponents may not...but I wish chess.com explains why.

Knightmares29

I think because those people only play unrated...

funandniceisme

I think that means you are playing a unrated game

funandniceisme

read this:

Finally, for unrated players we’ve replaced the default “1200” in most contexts with the term “unrated,” which is easier to understand for many new users. (This is just a change in presentation; ratings calculations for unrated players still use 1200.)

From artical:

but some people even highly rated shows their rating as unrated and I am playing unrated games. :(

I think after the release came out, you have to finish a rated game for it not to say unrated

meelyman
