I just had to mention this because it was so nasty and uncalled for. I just got a text from an account I’d never seen before, which instructed me to “kys, Jew worshiper.” I’ve reported this individual but I was ASTOUNDED by the text. Obviously someone who has a big problem with my beliefs. Wow.

Thanks, buddy! I’m fine but the viciousness of the text was unlike anything I had ever received before on c.c. And BELIEVE ME, I received some horrendous stuff. But I must be on the right track if I’m being attacked in this fashion. Plus, the Lord is glorified when we are attacked because of our faith and we handle it with grace.

Welcome back to the fight. We definitely have some rude people here. I have to look up slang and acronyms all the time. The young kids are being young kids. I get so mad it reminds me of what a brat I was as a kid. I'm 65. I could write an entire Social Psychology thesis on all this. I find it fascinating.
Just as hard as negotiating the kids is negotiating International Humor. I am getting a full course on World Etiquette and Diplomacy. Even talking about History can be dangerous when the pains are still felt hundreds of years later.
Sorry for your trouble. You sound like a Veteran that's learned how to handle it.
I was going to start with "Nice to have not met you", a joke when you don't get introduced to someone and everyone is leaving, but under the present conversation I didn't think it would be good. Nice to meet you.
