You have unlimited potential on OTF. You might not have tapped into that yet (I.e person above you thread makers) but the potential is there. Anyone can post anything on OTF, and so you can be as wild and creative as you want. And because everyone has that same core ability, they are all equally valuable to OTF even if they aren’t currently using it to its fullest potential.
The only irredeemable thing you can do here is decide to intentionally make things worse through trolling. Trolling is acknowledging the gift that is free speech and choosing to use it solely to cause harm. Basically it’s spitting in the face of creativity. So trolls go in F.
There’s no need to rank OTFers. Instead let’s focus on our individual strengths as posters, as we all have unique ones, and work on using those to build the best threads we can possibly make.
Great post as usual! I also dislike the idea of ranking posters here, as it can cause people to feel upset about their ranking and change relationships between people because of a ranking. I agree though, and everyone that’s currently in OTF has tons of potential as posters.
#5 yeah, I know it’s mostly in good fun, and the people who have been here awhile have mostly learned not to care by now, but it can be a bit of a harsh awakening for newer OTFers especially if they’re already quite active
Here’s why.
