Great matchups in the quarterfinals! The women are much harder to pick than the men, but here are my choices to win the quarterfinals:

Women: Sharapova; Lisicki; Paszek; Kvitova

Men: Nadal; Murray; Federer; Tomic

Wink

ivandh

I pick all of the women.

I was so sorry Wozniacki got eliminated today.Frown I wonder when she will get the grand slam title she deserves!

"Gorgeous" was also another dissappointment, but I know her future is bright.

About men, well, they are men, so. Whatever.

It doesn't work like that. You'll end up losing 'em all.

Yes, Caroline's pretty young, I'm sure she'll win an Australian, or US Open sometime.

Is that what they call Julia Goerges?Laughing

It's what I call her. Smile

Not picking Joko?  What ever happened?

Yes, my friends think I'm crazy too!Laughing But, Tomic (he plays Novak in the quarters)has been very impressive! He makes it all look so easy, and he's only 18 years old!

I feel an upset brewingWink

Ah, then maybe you are starting to believe me about Joko!  :)

I like your thinking but this is Wimbledon.  One so young could feel a lot of pressure if the match is tight.  I wonder if Tomic is ready yet?

It's not because Novak is over-rated by any stretch of the imagination.Laughing Novak could very well win the whole thing, and I think he will win the US Open this year, but watching Tomic destroy Davydenko and Soderling this past week was like watching the next great tennis player!

If Novak crushes Tomic, then I think you're right about the pressure and youth. But, as far as I've seen, nothing bothers Bernard Tomic!

ivandh

Cibulkova sure leaves me all bothered.

Hilarious!Laughing

Nadal took an injury time out at a critical point in the first set today against Del Potro.  He did the same during his match with Federer at the French Open. Hmmmm...

Go Tomic. Think Novak is gonna retire, as he does whenever he is losing Tongue out

Lisicki played AMAZING tennis in the second set today , till the end of the fifth game. I never realized she was such a resourceful player, drop-shots, aces, high downspin balls, it was all there, perfectly executed.

Sharapova gave an introduction to tennis 101 lesson today. I think she will make it to the final without much difficulty.

The four winners looked great today!Smile

The semi-finals are Sharapova against Lisicki, and Kvitova against Azarenka.

But, I can't decide the winners! Those four ladies look pretty evenly matched. I'm seriously going to have to think about it awhile, before I chooseLaughing

philidorposition

I think Sharapova will beat Lisicki in 3 sets. I haven't been able to watch Azarenka in Wimbledon, but Kvitova didn't impress me too much, so I'd pick Azarenka, but this is just guess work.

AndTheLittleOneSaid

Tsonga did it! First time Federer's ever lost after going 2 sets up apparently.

Okay, we're less than an hour away from the women's semis!  I think it will be Sharapova and Kvitova winning todaySmile

The men's semis, I have to go with Nadal and Djokovic winningWink

Ah, Lisicki lost today, but I loved her positive attitude, she kept similing even when things didn't look so good, it was clear she enjoyed playing. The problem was, she simply couldn't get her 1st services straight, she came to the final with 9 aces per game, but in this game she had none. Other than that, I think the game was more equal than it looked.

It will be insteresting to see how Masha will fare against Kvitova!
