I would add in characteristics or skills you developed whilst playing chess. For instance, discipline, patience, etc. and cater it to what the scholarship is aimed at.
An essay on...CHESS?!

How cool!
I think Labaz nailed it. Talk about how chess taught you many things that you think are sucessful traits:
How to study a subject. How to think logicallly. How to make a plan. How to manage time.
And my personal favorite, the benefit of defeat. You could for example show how one of these four things I mentioned became something intertwined with chess and how you learned to love it through chess. And how this knowledge has made you a better student and person.
Good luck! :D

@Labaz_Foxx and Addicted-to-chess97 :
Thanks so much!! Great suggestions, I will definitely give them a shot. :D

1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4 cd4
4 Nd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 e6 6 Ndb5 d6
7 Bf4 e5 8 Bg5 a6 9 Na3 b5
10 Bf6 gf6 11 Nd5

1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4 cd4
4 Nd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 e6 6 Ndb5 d6
7 Bf4 e5 8 Bg5 a6 9 Na3 b5
10 Bf6 gf6 11 Nd5
Soo...what are you saying?

1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4 cd4
4 Nd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 e5 6 Ndb5 d6
7 Bg5 a6 8 Na3 b5 9 Bf6 gf6
10 Nd5 f5 11 Bd3 Be6 12 0-0 Bd5

It surprised me though.
I expected 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 g6 5.c4, which is the Maroczy bind. A variation I like to play as white.

How trolls mess up your day?
Nah, just kidding. Add an anecdote about your most memorable game. Explain why it was memorable to you.

I was forced to write an essay about chess in high school, and at that time I did not even know how to play them, and learn all the material just did not have time, so I went to the site https://www.topbritishessays.com/ and chose a company that was able to write a high-quality essay for me.

Yep, yep, so any suggestions on what to write?!
I'm competing for a scholarship given by a chess association, and the essay theme is chess. I already answered the required questions; how has playing chess benefited my education, and what role it will play in my future.
Still a couple hundred words off though, and would like to add a few more personal touches?
Sooooo any suggestions?
Maybe write how chess impacts people and their lives, if not added already.

Writing an essay on chess might seem unusual at first, but it’s actually a great topic to explore because chess teaches valuable skills like strategic thinking, patience, and problem-solving. Over time, I’ve noticed how playing chess improves focus and decision-making, which can benefit many areas of life. When I worked on my own chess essay, I found helpful resources at https://freebooksummary.com that offered clear summaries and examples to build my arguments. Chess is also a fascinating mix of art and science, requiring creativity within structured rules. Approaching the essay with an open mind allowed me to connect the game’s complexity to broader ideas, making the writing process more engaging. For anyone tackling this topic, balancing facts about chess’s history and its cognitive benefits can create a well-rounded and insightful essay.
