Edge might be a better term here than side. Still the answer could be 0, 1 or ∞. Generally means always in math but mostly in common parlance. Similarly edges are for polygons in math. So it may be nothing more than a trick question rather than intellectual.

This means that the circle has an infinite number of sides, with each side being an infinitesimally small portion of the circumference.

Lmao you mean infinitesimally like a point from a pen when it makes a dot, it's lmao an infinitesimal side?? 😂

It depends on what your definition of a side is. If you don't count an arc as a side then it doesn't have a side. But if you consider the 5th grade definition of a side, then it has 1 side. But sorry OP but a circle doesn't have infinite sides in any scenario.

So you are telling me that a square has 8 sides? Sorry but you are wrong.

Zeroth. A line has inf points on it. Because if not it is a point itself. And inf ly short lines doesnt have inf points. Therefore it is a point itself meaning a circle has no edges. Q.E.D

A perfect circle has infinite points. Now if you take a side as a "string of points", then it would have one side, but no one accepts that definition anymore.

The other definition we have kinda adopted is that a side is a 'straight' string of points, aka the spaces between points will be perpendicular. In this case people say that a circle has 0 sides.

But I still haven't seen a scenario of definition where a circle has infinite points.

🤣 lmao yeah.. plain and simple there ain't no sides TO a whatsoever . 😂

I must be missing something, Folks.

A triangle has 3 sides, a square or rectangle 4, a circle... infinity many sides.

It can't have infinite sides
