not really, i am not even sure why you have itunes on your android phone. i thought its only for iphone users. Android users can happily live without that crap... :-) I just go to the market app and search for apps there, they have tons of stuff anykinds...

The Itunes is for iPhones, The MarketPlace is where you'll find the Android app.
On your Android, you can access MarketPlace from there. When it opens, type in a search for chess.com and the app will show. Click Install by the app. The Android should do the rest for you.
If you're still having problems accessing it or downloading it, please let me know

Why doesn't the Chess.Com app work on a Samsung i5500 running Android 2.1? The Android Marketplace says it's not compatable. So why isn't it?

hmm , it says:
"Compatibile with most Android Phones
Requires Android OS 1.5 or later"
so i guess it is not compatible with GT-15500.
Two things you could do:
1.ask chess.com developers to fix it
2. fix it yourself :)
Well as my phone is running Android OS 2.1, I would have thought that it would be compatable, as it is above the specified minimum. So yes, I would like them to fix the app. I have e-mailed support to see if this can be done at some stage. I play Chess online and use e-mail which is about as techie as I get, I wouldn't know myself how to make a phone work with an incompatible app! 
So if anybody can fix the Chess Com app to make it compatible, plese do, as using my mobile is how I stay in touch with my games and it stops me timing out! Thanks.

I agree it looks wierd that your phone cant run mobile chess.com app. The developers should take a look at it.. just contact to chess.com staff and they will tell you what they're gonna do.

What is the exact message you get when trying to install the app, and at what stage of installation does the message appear?
Andoid Marketplace won't let me download it to my phone, it says " this item is not compatible with your device."
Using the Samsung i5500 [Galaxy Europa] running the Android 2.1 [Eclair] OS.
I am a premium user. but can't download android app for my phone. it says it is not for your country. how can it be resolved?

Mobile Chess fo Androids. I understand that premium members have access to mobile chess for android phones. I have to go to I tunes for the application is that right?
