The auto resign and abandoned match features are far too aggressive when connection is interrupted. There should be no auto resign if the delay is connection related. The auto resign for abandoning should decrease in duration based on how frequently a play leaves the app or site mid match. I have lost connection for 1 minute in a 10 minute rapid game. In OTB game if I get up to stretch on my time that is my purgative I wouldn’t be forfeited for using my time how I please
