Abandonment time is too low

I play a 10min blitz game and I get disconnected. My disconnections on average last about 1 minute, which is exactly the time in which the game is abandoned, which is extremely frustrating.

If I disconnect with 8 minutes on the clock, why shouldn't I be able to continue playing after a disconnection? How is it any different than waiting for a minute before making a move? A person can go make coffee, come back 5 minutes later and continue and win the game, but I can't disconnect for even one minute before losing!?

I'm very frustrated

Disconnect times are based on the time control and if you are beyond move 10 (before falls under the long move timer rules):

Disconnect timer

Another way a game can be ruled as abandoned is if you disconnect for too long. How long you can stay disconnected before the game ends is based on the time controls. The rule is, if you’re disconnected, you have 10% of the base time plus 40 x increment, with a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes to reconnect. If you can’t reconnect in this amount of time, the game will be ended.

I never asked how it works because I know how it works. I'm complaining about the way it works. It is very frustrating for those of us who want to play 10min blitz but occasionally disconnect for a minute.

As I said, if I can go make a coffe for 5 minutes and return and win the game anyways, then I should be able to have a disconnection for a minute or two and return and win anyways, because for the opponent there's no difference anyways.

By increasing the time, it allows those that just disconnect when they feel like they are losing, don't want to play that opponent, whatever reason, to completely waste the time of the other player. The site has a lower time due to those that disconnect on purpose to alleviate some of the pain of those types of disconnections. It can impact some valid disconnections as well but it is impossible to please everyone.

Well why would I abandon the game when I'm up material? Why even notify my opponent that I have disconnected? Let him believe I've been thinking for a minute or two and let me connect back. If I can think for 5 minutes then I can disconnect for 5 minutes and the opponent doesn't have to know anything about it and I shouldn't lose the game because of it.

If you really want to punish only poor sports then enable abandonment timer only when the position is losing. Why should my abandonment timer be activated when I'm winning? Not to mention, poor sports often don't disconnect at all, rather they just stay online and wait for the timer to run out.
