An amazing idea I came up with recently

Well we all know that all chess.com members can enter the social side, it is free and nothing needs to get paid right?

Yes, I am talking about the trolls that they can enter social easily without any verifications!

So there is a real solution for this, instead Chess.com has to make requirements for the account to enter the social side!

Well, the requirement's are simple, They are..

1. The account has to be 3 months old max
2. it must had played at least 100 games

This would be an amazing idea, and also it's less-work for staffs who have to work for hours to ban, mute trolls everyday!

If you would agree to this, make sure to upvote and react a thumbup if yes!

Catdragoning

The social side isn't well defined, making it difficult to prevent people from "entering" it.

no.

Flutelo

maybe that would work. Just maybe.

Not a bad idea though.

Like to kick everyone who has been here for 3+ months out of chats, direct messages and forums?

I think he means minimum

Actually, I would 100% support this. Wikipedia uses a similar system to prevent vandalism.

Anyway, there should be club to club settings where you can choose the minimum age of accounts that can enter and whatnot

Well, wikipedia is a non-commercial website unlike chess.com

Chess.com was not created yesterday and the fact that they have not implemented additional restrictions to new users might have some reasons, including commercial one

The current system is still problematic though, change is needed, whether it's giving more tools to club admins, adding requirements for joining CC social, or simply promoting more moderators.

At minimum the site should make everyone play one chess game before posting in the forums. All these spam accounts that post about "Gummy Bears" or "Call Girls" or "Nutrients" etc in the forums are nearly always under 24 hours old with zero matches played, so it would save the moderators a lot of time and energy to have this rule.

Noooo brooooo, the account has to be 3 months old to enter social -.-

100 games is too high for a litmus test. I haven’t played that many games yet, but think that I am part of the chess community.

Could I add what you said to the post?

100 games is quite a lot. Too many, in fact.

Maybe 10 would work
