Free beanie breaks free worldwide shipping

Whenever an item that qualifies for free worldwide shipping is added to the cart, Chess.com will add a free beanie. This freebie does not qualify for free shipping, so the whole order doesn't qualify anymore. The item cannot be removed from the cart (at least I didn't see an easy way to do so).

Basically, it's a bug that prevents thousands of people worldwide from shopping from your store.

The site doesn't run the store, that is handled by House of Staunton. There is a chat option on their site; they can probably fix it for you.

Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression that House of Staunton fulfills the orders, but the e-commerce on the shop subdomain is still run by chess.com. At any rate, I have reported the issue both via chat (there was no live chat, but I left a message) and to House of Stanton directly, earlier today. Their site is not affected by the issue so they recommended I order through them while chess.com sorts out the issue.

I thought it worked just like US Chess Sales and they host everything and just basically have a configurable environment.

 

You could have opened a ticket here, but I'm not sure how that store is handled.
