Great idea! I refused to play against Russian players in the first year until I realized not everybody in Russia supports the invasion of Ukraine.

Read about the recent protests in Kovel. You will find out exactly what Ukrainians think about their government right now. TCC employees who kidnap Ukrainian men on the streets and even in their homes are the real hostages.
If this was implemented, please do something similar to Israel. I also refuse to play Israeli players, and yet I'm sure some of them (although most likely very few) are against murdering/starving children or r@ping prisoners.
I think it would be a nice idea for the site moderation to add an opportunity to set the Free Russia flag for russian players who don't support aggresive actions in Ukraine performed by their government (like me). This will remind the world that Russia is not Putin but millions of good people who became hostages of aggresive regime.
