Live Chess - Confirm Each Move

A letter to Chess.com feedback:

Hello Chess.com,

When you download the Chess.com app on an iPad, iPhone, or android device, you have the option of choosing a setting that says, "Confirm each move," where after you make a move, a check mark appears, and you have to hit the check mark to finalize that move. However, there is no option available for that when logging in to the Chess.com website. This is a problem because I sometimes lose because of unintentionally making a bad move with the mouse. This rarely ever happens when I play on my iPhone or tablet, and I often win a lot more games because of the "Confirm each move" setting. Please add this setting to the Chess.com website ASAP! It would really help me out and I think it will help a lot of other players out there, too.

Thanks,

Rikhav

There is a setting in Board and Pieces that allows you the choice of moving pieces either by dragging and releasing them or by clicking on the square you want them to go to.  Most don't use that because it's a little slow, but that might solve your mouse problem.

Hello? Is there anybody at Chess.com listening? I turned in a suggestion/bug report form that I found here, but these requests have been going on for so long.

PeeweeHermansTissues

It seems they've been getting this request for something like 8 years now or so, and they have never even publicly acknowledged it, much less explained why they don't include such obviously needed functionality.

Since it has been requested multiple times in the forums, and I would also guess via support and feedback/suggestion tickets, it's either very low priority, or isn't going to be added.

Let them know that LiChess has the option to confirm a move and maybe then they will add it.
