"New" Game Review - when is it finally going to be fixed?

What feels like a very long time has passed since the perfectly working Game Review was redesigned to the version we have right now which is simply poorer version of what we had before.

I'm talking specifically about the Best move suggestions. It is almost useless now and you always have to switch to analysis.

For example my last game: https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/123141197202 after move 33, Game Review says that Rh3 is best and the Show Follow up button simply shows blacks next move. That's it. And since in this case it is a repeated position it makes it even more confusing. And this is a paid feature...

This is the position you were talking about. Your move Re3 was a mistake, as it said. Because it left the f6 pawn unprotected.

It also has a green arrow showing the best move Rh3+.

I understand it was a mistake, but the Best move is not clear at all on why it is the best move. It does not provide proper follow up showing why it is the best move like it used to show in the old version. In this case it shows only blacks next move.

And as I mentioned, it is even harder to understand why this is supposedly the best move, because it would lead to a second repetition. It should at least show moves after second repetition. Otherwise the best move suggestion is like "Because I said so".

I guess it was pretty clear to me that its analysis concluded that the best it could do was a draw. That's why it would have made repeated checks with the rooks unless and until the king retreated from its forward position.

Game review certainly needs to keep improving. However, I do think that it has been improving fairly regularly since I joined in 2007 and the computing power offered has risen substantially in recent years.

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the older "perfectly working" version handy so that we can look at what it would have said.

Somehow I doubt it would have offered more insight.
