I'm so glad I'm not the only one thinking this. What a disaster.

Agreed with the 500 people already in total agreement. Lots of work it took, changing something that was working perfectly into.. whatever this is

TumoKonnin

yup it is disgusting

I think it's time for me to go to Lichess or any other platform. They are making this change to try to get more free users to pay. I've lost the advantage graph from regular analysis. No, chess.com, I will not pay for something other platforms are giving out for free. Also, if you all start doing this, I'll just quit chess and focus on something else.

See how much money you make when all the casual users go away and the chess community goes back to only the people who actively played in their youth.

Despite the trash game review, chess.com is still much better than lichess

Awful update, the tips seem better from the game review guy but the appearance and setup of the whole thing is way worse than before. Need a always show best moves button back and i wanna see all the opening/middlegame/endgame scores again without having to come out and go back into the game all over again

The new review is absolutely awful! I am a paying member and the way it was before was perfect. I don't want to have to click best every time to see the optimal play. I hope they just bring it back or I'm canceling the subscription.

I'll add that it was absolutely jarring the first time I saw it- no idea that this update was coming.

I honestly thought my internet connection had glitched, got completely offline, then returned to find out, nope, it wasn't my connection.

I'm not a fan, it's not intuitive or as user friendly as the previous version was.

wishiwereficher

I liked the old model a lot more also. It really didn't need a update imo.

Total Crap

danb37

I no longer see information on openings .no of times played etc in the reviews.why is this?

gazarak

Not a fan of the update either

I completely agree, the new review presentation on chess.com is awful. The previous format was much more intuitive and user-friendly. It provided a clear and concise analysis of the game, making it easy to understand my mistakes and areas for improvement. The new layout is cluttered and harder to navigate, which takes away from the learning experience. I really hope chess.com listens to its users and reverts to the old review presentation.

It's agreed then. We'll tear the place apart grin.png

Also, anybody has an idea how to disable both sides being reviewed? I only want the review to stop at my moves, not at the mistakes my opponent made (especially no the ones I responded to properly). Reviewing my opponents mistakes which I already spotted is a waste of time.

Laskoviy_mat

My first thought was something happened with my browser.

Also they eliminated the autoplayback button in analysis mode. I'm getting carpal tunnel from manually clicking the mouse for forward moves.

Hi all! Sorry to hear frustrations with the new Game Review. I will tell you that we are listening to feedback and doing our best to take action and improve on the new design. Tell me what specific features, capabilities, user flows, you miss from the old design and we will do our best to take action! We are close to releasing some updates already that will address some of the feedback we have received. happy.png
