Is there--or could it become a feature—an option to not play (be paired with) a user who has pre-moves enabled in their setting?
Is it fair to play someone who has this option enabled when you do not? should this not be decided pre-game so both stand on equal footing (same helper tools available) when the game begin? I think someone who do not have it enabled is at a disadvantage playing someone who do have this option enabled.
Every move happen so super fast that you don’t see the move. Your brain need to spend a tiny time finding out what moved and where, then the brain need a tiny time to figure out should you respond to the move or develop own pieces. And you have to do that process for every single pre-move the opponent uses, it eats away your time but saves the opponent a lot of time.
So there you are at the end of a game and the opponent moves like 25 times in 1 second and next thing you know you’ve run out of time and game over. It never feel right, leaving you with the sense of having been cheated (even though its a legitimate option on chess.com that a player can utilize), it just feels wrong. I want to play a human, not a human with a computer assisted preprogrammed moves, used specifically to cheat the clock and win on time.
