Puzzle Rating Adjustment?

The puzzle system was designed for just one valid answer. Most of the time, there aren't multiple possible answers and the line you found has an issue. For the cases where there are really multiple solutions, you can use the Report Puzzle icon on the puzzle and staff will take a look.

It seems to me that something has changed in the puzzle ratings. Was an adjustment made?
Two years ago, I was always frustrated when I neared 2200 in my rating. Since then, I struggled my way over 2300 and then easily shot upward another 200 points. I am skeptical that this change reflects improved skill on my part.
I haven't done many puzzles in the past few weeks but it's possible something has changed. I know last I checked, puzzles were weighted heavily to lower than your current rating (around 90% were lower when I looked).

I could be wrong but it does seem like the ratings have been more generous for successful answers -- like the formula had changed at some point a while back. Similar to rating changes when you play rated games, it seemed like the swings up/down would 'stabilize' once you became established at a certain level. Now, it seems like I get nearly the same # of points for answering a 1200 puzzle as I do for a 2000. Several months ago I crossed the 2000 barrier for a while (have since given the points back) and that was completely unthinkable a year or two ago. And, I'm with you, I don't think my actual skill changed all that much.
it could be psychological, but I've also wondered if there was a change to the formula.
