New month and maybe the period that the RCC bots were available to basic members has expired - unlocking all the bots is part of the starting level of premium membership (gold), which also gets rid of that ads.
You don't want to pay for it? Cool, that's your privilege and no-one is forcing you to do so. But it's a long way from "disgusting": "I deserve free stuff!" sounds just a little entitled, don't you think?
No, I don't. Just DON'T DO any bots available to basic members only for short period. Don't piss people off. Why bother put stupid ads in which there is NO ANY forkin word about that it's for a moment only, then take it away. Disgusting, as I said. Best when doing bots for premium only DO THEM for premium only from scratch and mark it in the ad. Just don't bait basic members.
Poor example. The supermarket will state clearly these are samples. Have you read anything in this news article about time limited bots ? I bet not.

For me it's clearly said "three new bots", nothing about "you have one week only then we cancel possibility of playing them and from then it's for premium members only". When new streamer-bots apeeared (some time ago) they wasn't removed or locked week later, and I'm sure everyone was glad of couple additional bots. Same expectations was suggested in that news from 26.05 - if it was not it should be mentioned.

So, even though I am low rated and an average player, I've beaten every bot opponent that is not locked, including Danny bot, as they are very easy to flag in 1 minute games.
I would love to try playing some other bots, but they are locked and tapping (I am playing on my phone) on nether the locked bot, nor tapping on 'Choose' button, does anything

So it's a bit of a marketing gimmick, sure. But it's not "deceptive" in any material way and it's not baiting & switching, where they promise you one thing but give you something else. You got to try something for free for a while - you'd prefer to have not tried it at all because you don't want to know what you're missing out on? Well, take it as a lesson for when Chess.com releases their next set of bots, whenever that might be, and refuse to play against them then. Or grab the opportunity to play against them a lot because you know they'll also become premium only features soon. Whatever - continuing to complain about it here in the forums after it's been clearly explained to you is just pathetic whining.

No, you did not explained anything "clearly" and your defence of chess.com behavior is pathetic, not me still seeing that as digusting and tricky. Won't take any lessons in this subject, only hope when they release any new bots intending to lock them shortly after, they will find honesty to admit that right away when announcing. Other way have good saying for that "Kto daje i odbiera ten się w piekle poniewiera"

ad 1. I never intended to unlock already locked bots, so that explanations was completely unnecessary, same as quotation of people asking "how to unlock locked bots".
ad 2. I was rather talking about quite new streamer-bots. On start there was unlocked xQc, Mr. Beast, Pokimane and I think Ludwig, CodeMiko, Neeko. Other was locked. Then added Gotham, locked from scratch and nobody has any pretensions. Then appeared Qt, Boxbox, Mack, Tectone all unlocked and they stayed unlocked to this day. I hope I remember sequence correctly but again noone had a problem with which bots are locked and which are not. So maybe chess.com "take it as lesson" and in the future instead of making tricky moves annouce CLEARLY "Here, have this new bot, free for a week". Not very much to mention, right ?

That's assuming they know in advance that it's going to be free for a week - as you pointed out, the streamer bots are still unlocked. Who knows what their criteria is for which bots are premium and which bots aren't? I don't. But framing the feedback in an actually constructive manner like "It'd be great to know when a bot is released whether and when it will become a premium only feature, I was disappointed when bot X become unavailable" is far more likely to be heard and acted on than tossing out all these ridiculous perjoratives like "trickY" and "disgusting", that's just childish self righteouness. Chess.com may humor that sort of behaviour, but I'm tired of it and will call it out when I see it.
That sentecte (although maybe more likely to be heard by some) wouldn't be enough cause I wasn't disappointed but pissed off. It's nothing childish in seeing things as they are (or expecting to be properly informed about it) and I don't care if you're tired of anything. When you plan to do something (in this case playing new 3 bots) assuming (by misinformation or insufficient information) you have all time you need and it's suddenly cut without any notice it's just pissing off not disappointing. Things surely would go different way if I'd be aware, maybe even not worth posting anything, but in this case I blame chess.com

Pfff, maybe I AM a bitter old man already and things like that pisses me off ? Can you tell my age out of crystal ball ? Actually I wasn't going to look in here anymore, but popped in just to add one thing. Since there is comment section under articles/anounces from now on as soon as I spot one (that I would be interested in), will post demand of clarification if thing will be for everyone or premium only. How do you like that ?
Why RCC bots has been blocked ? I don't like what chess.com is doing - obviously it's all money, money, money (get premium or kiss our but(x2) ) ?.

but played it on 30-31.05, and today (1.06) when I wanted to get to next RCC bot it's paddlocks on all of them. Disgusting, chess.com, that's all.
