Ads follow your activity. If you look at porn, or even search for it, you will get ads for it.
If you don't believe that, try searching for something that you don't usually search for. Maybe skiing holidays in Japan, or beer in Germany. You will be flooded with ads for sites selling it.

However, I am currently getting L'Oreal's "Are you obsessed about thicker hair?" ad. Yes, I have thick hair but I am NOT obsessed about it. I don't even THINK about it on a daily basis.

Yea, I get loads of adds about gaming "for adult men ONLY.
" What??? I only play two computer games and they are clearly not the type of sexy-breasts-and-kissing adds that I get. Oviously it was an add that slipped through. but anyway. Get an add that has slipped through and you get 1-month free membership!
I don't see any ads. How come? I have nothing like Adblock.

fburton, I have no hair and think about it on a lunar basis. I'm happier knowing that porn ads are streamed my way because of my thought process and not hair ads, although I wouldn't mind terribly having to buy a comb!

When I was a free member I used to receive ads of Spanish lessons. I've never searched for them in the internet.

They do not get preapproved by chess.com. Ads are served from many sources.
