Chess.com should have included the verification thing with all diamond memberships if they really wanted to increase revenue substantially. Diamond members pay 100 a year and tossing in a verification with cash prize tournies included in that would garner them a higher profit margin than charging diamond members 100 a year plus the additional price of verification. My assumption is chess.com is lacking the right people. It's like they are all friends and you should never work with friends because it's hard to fire them. You go to work to make money not friends.

I play chess. One year ago, two years ago, three years ago. I´m a diamond member. I played chess in different time controls and in clubs and in tournaments. And now, with all these new features? I play chess. In clubs and in tournaments. That´s all.

I don´t understand all these "oh my god, how horrible are these new features, it´s the end of the (chess.com)world...." IF YOU DONT LIKE IT - DONT DO IT". what the hell it the problem? I dont like NTFs, I dont buy it, I´m not interested in this league thing, I don´t do it. I play chess.

It´s something different with this downvoting thing. I´m in the forum since years and I also think, that this is not useful and undemocratic. But I think it´s ok to discuss changes in parts of chess.com that I already use (and like). But what is the meaning of complaining about things I don´t like and therefore don´t use? I don´t use it, that´s enough of a statement.

I also find it a stretch that leagues encourage cheating- there is no real tangible award it gives now that the legend club prize money was already awarded.

I think Chess.com is an exellent site! Though I agree on the point that verification should be free and that it would be a great incentive to prevent cheating. Those of u that comment that 15-35% of ur games was against cheaters seems far off. On my 500ish games I had 4 cheaters where I got my points back and it was extremly obv. Except of that it might be some games here and there, particularly those people that cheats on only some moves. But that's just have it is i guess. I can't understand how anyone can benefit mentally by cheating. But I guess to brag about ur Chess rating is equell in some environments as to score well on an IQ test. Even though science dont support it, at least her in Norway ppl will be impressed to a certain degree.

The only thing I find funny is that some of the players in Legend League can have less than 200 rating points. I am supportive of initiatives that support skill over participation.
