I tested them out on a computer opponent.
They seem to do nothing (when playing against a computer opponent).
This other thread shows what animation looks like. I'm using 3D set and nothing happens.

Good question. As I am a "natural" animation user, it looks to me like he uses natural as well. Sadly I don't think we can get the glow, because I think he adds it stream side, or it is something special chess.com does for him or other titled players, but I doubt it.

There is an Arcade option that has effects.
What do the animation options do? Is just animation speed (with none being no animation)? Is Arcade the fatest animation speed? This would be easier to understand if you used precise adjectives.
