Removing views is a great idea. Notes, not so much.

Removing followers is not great as well.

Removing followers is fine, too. As long as friends are displayed, your bio is displayed, and other things are, it's fine.

I at least want followers and notes to stay.

Notes are a nice addition to profiles, since it's fun to interact with people through clicking their profile, or to just say hello to someone.

Followers and views aren't needed. This isn't a social media site like Instagram or TikTok where your follower count needs to be shown. Same with profile views. Chat points were much better, but they decided to stupidly change it to profile views instead. So this new profile layout isn't so bad in my opinion.

Also, Chess.com, why would you remove the custom messages from trophies being sent to friends?

There's a lot of useless changes.

Maybe because they want your profile to reflect your chess skills instead of making it socially based?

It's the kind of thing I'd expect the villain in a children's movie to do (and especially to originally roll it out on Valentine's Day; maybe they'll do Christmas next, or find something else to take away then).
