@Crystal. you are staff. the Op specifically alledge that AMINS torture guys. who an "Admin" is, I do not know. but your motto is to "gently influence" the site- and that doesn't sound like tortue to me.
... I think you are a kind hearted guy/gal who doesn't realize the dark side of the site you work for. sorry. read up on conspiracy theories.
then you might be able to understand the hidden horror that the op has experienced

Well, 12 of the 27 posts were about, or related to the topic, with most of the second page about it. Deleting a bunch of individual posts, and the resulting questions about "why was my post deleted," just isn't worth it. It would be like hearding cats.

@eddy, have you spent ANY time lurking? consider just the thread we were talking about. after many hours of mild, dull posts- Suddenly they decided to talk about a topic that chess.com WILL not allow to be discussed over the internet.
in short, 24/7 and in a zillion places, there is the possibility of spam, abuse, and insults.
I am amazed chess.com does as well as it does.
