Only erik can really answer if he would be willing to change fundamental aspects. I think he is willing to listen to constructive criticisms in that area. There are probably a lot of things that are unlikely to change but if there are bugs in the implementation or they work sub-optimally for a lot of people, things might be changed to make it more optimal.
Once v3 is the only version, I'm sure continued feedback will drive additional changes and tweaks to how things work. Just like it has in previously to get v2 where it is.
Chess.com has been listenng to all the members complaints and bug reports. As they have been submitted. Somethings are being fixed right away while other are far more involved and require Erik's approval. V2 has to leave soon at it would be great if we can get most of the members learning V3. Erik has promised to make all changes they can before V2 leaves. So every member that uses V3 and turns in bug reports will help this process in making V3 even better and add features that will make the largest amount of members happy. So jump in and use V3 it will be in your benefit to get the changes needed to the right staff members to consider the change required. For those that really do not like it at all are the ones that need to be using it the most. This is the best way to get the things fixed by turning in bub reports that go directly to the Staff and programers needed. Sometime it take submitting several times I know I have had to submit the same issues many times before it was fixed.
BTW the Bug tool that used to be on top of all V3 pages has been changes to a ? Help drop down menu to the top of all V3 pages. The V3 bug icon is now gone and has been replaced with a top menu ( ? Help) on the left side of your user name in the top menu bar. The drop down now menu has several chooses on it including the Bug reporting tool. Everybody needs to use this tool especially the small % of members that do not like V3. Cheers all and Thanks for all the understanding and appreciating members supporting V3 but the dissatisfied V3 members should be using V3 and reporting the issues to staff. Complaining while may make you feel better it will not do much to improve V3 like being in the club and using the bug report tool. Cheers and Thanks for all of you being a member of Chess.com
The ones who "really do not like it at all" have complaints that go deeper than bug reports. Are you seriously suggesting that those working on V3 are open to changing fundamental aspects of its design and functionality?
