I used to play in Yahoo chess. It's gone, now I'm here.

There should be a default 40 minutes per game. It makes sense. A game lasts about 40 moves. 40 minutes for 40 moves is easy to keep track of the pace. A 40 min/game would last an average of 1 hour. That's a good pace. 30 minutes would last an average 45 minutes. That's like an hour with commercials!

Actually I like this new 30 minutes game. It is more like speed chess, and not so leisurely. More like a real fight instead of sparring. But 40 minutes should be an option.

On Yahoo, there was a 10 minute limit for a move. That makes sense. So if someone abandons a game, you don't have to wait forever to force a forfeit.
