Color change / Colorblind mode in 4-player chess

I just gave 4-player chess a try and found it near impossible to play due to colorblindness. The biggest problems are the green and red pieces since they look incredibly similar. It would be much appreciated if something were done about the colors or a colorblind mode was added to make this mode playable for people like myself.

Have there been any thoughts on this? I'm also colorblind and cannot tell the red/green pieces apart. Thanks!

There will be a colorblind setting eventually. In the 4 player chess club there is a forum about a colorblind setting which unfortunately has not been visited by real colorblind people. You can find it here:

how do we change our color before a game

I start out as red but I want to be blue

Was this ever solved? Four Player Chess is borderline unplayable for me because of this.

Never mind, I found the colorblind mode... much better!

I found a method:

https://www.chess.com/variants/4-player-chess/lobby

Step 1: Go to that link
Step 2: Click on the settings (on the upper-right corner)

Step 3: Change each color to a shade of gray (in your perspective of course) that you wish

I hope this helps!
