Come back from vacation and find to have lost 2000 rating!!

I came back from vacation today only to find I had lost 200 rating . This was because I logged onto Chess.com a few times to prepare an opening against my grandad and it automatically turned off my vacation and left my to timeout around 20 daily games! What's worse is that it didn't even warn me that this would happen! It could have been worse and I could have time out on all 80 of my games. Please Post if similar things have happened to you so we can all make Chess.com more aware of this problem

Just to make you aware, it is not a problem for premium members since we have automatic timeout protection.

I've heard about that, after I posted the first comment I went to check what It said in the 'help' bit and it said nothing about this. It's not fair at all

That just means that vacation turns on automatically if you are about to run out of time. If you use all your vacation, then you can still time out.

  I'm confused.  The thread title says you lost 2000 points....but post 1 says you lost 200 points.  So which one is it 200....or 2000.?  If you lost 2000 points.....and you're only rated at 1400.......do you have to stay on Chess.com until you pay back those 600 points.? 

Usually you can log in without ending vacation.

You just must not make a move in any daily game.

I also lost a few games when I came back from vacation. IMO the vacation functionality is very poor. It should not automatically switch off the vacation just because I logged on again (I switched on the vacation mode and made a few more moves in the evening). Also It would help to see a hint if vacation mode is activated (e.g. in the head-line). Generally I like chess.com, but this is nearly a bug and makes people really angry. :-(

As said before I know from myself and mostly from my opponents that you can log in without ending vacation.

@Daniel_Lang Are you sure between Aug 7 and Aug 11th you didn't make a move in any daily game?   I just did my first vacation for about 10 days was logging in regularly for messages and tactics trainer and nothing went wrong. 

I have seen my vacationing opponents online, but when I check our games, they are STILL on vacation even while they are online.
