end timeouts.

i just started playing here online here, and have a question.  I understand that a win is a win weather its by resignation or checkmate.  My post here is about a match i believe to be one move away from checkmate.  My opponent, who was typing trash throughout the match so much i disabled the chat.  Well, this person nearly had me but i pulled out a strategy that i wasn't for sure would work. At this moment in time, i am believe i am one move away from a checkmate, but this person has logged out.  Im not mad cuz i know i bested em. My question is do i get the same ammount of points weather i win by timing out as i would by a check mate?
