kinda weird. I logged on to the "News". The scroll bar was lagging badly, never knew if I had scrolled or not, scrolled again and the page was jumping back and forth. In the address bar, there was a notice "page is trying to download unauthorized scripts". Meaning ? I logged off, back in with no lag issue and no notice.
5 minutes later, now lagging badly. 3-5 seconds to type letter or scroll.

The new version is more complicated but not better. The old version is simpler, and isn't the point to play chess!!!
Yes V2 is easier to navigate, faster, more intuitive, and easier to play chess on.
I'm on v2. The issues I'm having with lag are some what less than with v3. It seems to come and go. A few minutes everythings fine, then suddenly I'm lagging horribly with pages timing out. As I read, I understand v2 is not the "old site" anymore. It's actually v3 with a "v2 feel" keeping much of the old style, which is being phased out, no longer supported with any fixes.

The MEANING in Oxford English , is simply "cave-dweller" . Taking offense is a subjective decision open to all without control of the consequences . V3 is presently a very much improved platform and I recommend this site for those that want to play chess , read reports on world chess and get authoritative instruction on the game .
