Express if you like or do not like the new version of the site

I don't know the specific architecture and how hardware and databases are shared exactly, but there are shared resources. erik has posted about it in this topic, page 8, post 156.

It isn't just copying code to a new server to keep v2.

I will not play on the new junk. If they take away the old version, I will not renew my membership. Please do not try to fix what's not broken. 

I don't like that the graph in the tactics starts has disappear. Now there is only one graph which shows the final score of the day. The one before showed initial, final, highest and lowest of everyday. A shame that such an useful graph has left and we are left with the less useful one

Hate the way this has been done.  No warning, no intro even, and just hard luck if you have renewed your subscription and now feel you are unhappy with the substitution.  The site says you can click back to the old version...but that doesn't seem to be working right now?  Specifically dislike the distractions on the interface, the hard-to-see piece count and the rubbish customer relations in how this has been handled as a new project.  

That oneis the graph that we have now. Around 3 months ago we had this one and another one (which I believe used to be in V2 too). The disappeared one showed bars, green if you went up and orange if you went down, and then some lines showing the highest and lowest of the day. One similar to this:

i totally agree with you, hope that old version will not closed. because i need front size, or increase size to write with text on pc.  i can't cope reading too small text.

couldn't find it, also there is no analysis on new version.............sigh 

a friend and me like to write chessmail and chatscreen as well. also analysis and of course front size or increase size i need. because i'm wearing my thick glasses lol.

Most browsers support increasing the size of text and/or the browser tab, including text.

Also, analysis is on the site. Are you looking for post-game analysis or the Analysis board?

That's not a great argument to use icons, actually.  Have you ever tried to decipher symbols in other places, other countries while driving?

🏣 <-- any idea what this means, Martin?  Its a universally known symbol in Japan.  But if I don't know from my having lived there for 15 years, I'd never know as a foreigner what that symbol meant.

Icons in V3, as we have seen thus far, are not as intuitive as some of the coders might have thought.  I've been battling this with development of my own interface for my own IT system.  The coder wants to rely on icons rather than words to cut down on translation work later on.  I have had to temper his use greatly because symbols like triangles △▽▼ and circles and stars and all kinds of shapes mean different things to different folk.   The color red is auspicious in some cultures; but never write in red ink to some.  Feet are a fetish to many in the west, but quite taboo in some southeast asian countries.  Icons, characters are not the END-ALL to translation issues in web & user interface design.  Anyone telling you otherwise has never lived outside her/his hometown.

Yeah, some aren't as intuitive. I agree. They have actually changed at least one that I'm aware of, the draw icon. It used to be and now it is

As to translations, that was just my thought. I'm pretty sure there are still translation files for the tool-tips. Visual design was probably more of driving factor. That said, I know I didn't find it particularly hard to find my way around when I first tested in 2014. There were other problems then, but navigation wasn't that hard.

Someone pays for things on the internet, in some manner. Here it is a mix of premium memberships and ad support. Some sites take donations. Some are bankrolled by someone and they either monetize via some other method or do it because they want to.

Running a popular website isn't cheap and donations may or may not cover expenses.

Yes, on the full stats page. Under the Best Win column. The name is a link to their profile. From their you can link to all your games against that player.

What do you mean? You can access that via that method. If you want something different, that is fine, but it is reachable.

Oddly, both these opponents had their accounts closed for cheating.
