You bet, it's only been 50 plus years and it seems like it was just yesterday ( well ok a little bit longer than that ).
How Long Until We Get V4 ???
I gather that V2 will be gone in a few days and some people are a bit upset. Well let us hope that V4 will be ready soon and I'm sure that everything will work out well ?

hahaha!!
V3 isn't perfect. It's a major improvement over V2, but the site would be positively negligent not to work on v4. And when V4 comes out, they should work to improve it with v5.
Sort of like how hurricane Florence was a "major improvement" over the dry conditions on the east coast.
really? you must have a different definition of "major improvement" than many others.
I like to play live chess online. V3 makes that possible. V2 was almost impossibly bad.
Yeah, I know. It's crazy to go to a chess site and play chess.
um, yeah, i've played live in every version. in my opinion, v2 worked better with live, along with a lot of other things.
I have no clue in what sense you think v2 worked better than v3 when it comes to live chess.
In v3, we can schedule and play live blitz matches, live bullet tournaments, and can even make moves in blitz and bullet without crashing the site. There are no more ridiculous bullet games with a 1-minute time control that last 30 minutes, and the interface is much cleaner.
I can't think of anything about v2 that was better than v3 when it comes to blitz or bullet play.
i have never scheduled my live games. in v2 i could get a game anytime. in v3 i see about three people available to play compared to about twenty in v2. yes, this is at random times, but, it is my experience. on a site that has supposedly grown, there should be more seeks for games.
if you are basing the interface of v2 vs. v3 on your specific interaction, you might be right. however, there are a myriad of other issues that many here have dealt with in this years long transition, that, by the way, was promised to only take a few months.
there have been a number of topics dedicated to issues with v3 (i started one myself). there are groups about v2.
you can't pretend that those pining for the ways of v2 are old fogies that do not want change. the lack of functionality is wearing on some, as v3 was promised to be the end all, be all.
Check about Erik post, He said the no of people that complain for V3 is 7000, whereas the other millions of people dont. So he decided in favour of 99.99%.
Problem?

Do you believe him? The old saying about customer complaints is that they are the tip of the iceberg. Meaning for every complaint, there are 10 times (or more) as many people who are unsatisfied, but dont complain. That depends on the type of business and other factors of course but it means that something is already very wrong. If a customers favorite dish at a restaurant is steak, and he complains about the steak, the restaurant owner is unwise to discontinue steak and push pasta sales instead.
Thanks for the thought AlCzervik. In my case I left the Black Forest as a young lad so my knowledge of German is rather limited and my spelling is not too great with English either (hey I'm a bi-lingual bad-speller lol ).
