I have been in a slump, partially because of some "run out of time" games-by accident. Just let me know, and I'll play anyone!
Invite-only Tournaments

in case of invite-only tournament your invitation message is important :
ask people to answer "no thank you" if they don't take part - so they are removed out your players list and you may invite somebody else
if you want 10 players - set the number or players at 20 (60 invited en not 30) - no autostart - set a limit datum for registration and advertise tournament will start when 10 players are registred
but you must follow regulary the registrations
I agree - possibility to remove no registred players could be easier

I actually have done exactly that.

capacity of TD is small - I find it a pity
when the tournament is ongoing - no possibility to withdraw a player who "abuse" your settings and message (for example - vacation allowed but no abuse)
I am running a couple invite-only tournaments, and I have found they are hard to start. This is because there is a limited number of people you can invite (3 times the maximum number of players minus the number of players already registered). This rule makes sense, but when I invite people, and they do not accept the invitation, they just sit there on the player list.
Tournament directors should be able to remove invited players who do not wish to participate, or simply cannot participate, from tournaments. I find it a little funny that people can be removed only after they accept the invitation.
