It is very boring when you say hello, or when you try to say hello, and the opponent disables chat. It doesn't cost much to be polite. I don't ask more than a single word. Even before or after the game when you play a bullett game, no problem. When I explain I don't rematch against impolite players, I often am insulted... Wow.
You believe it is insulting to refuse to chat. In bullet.
I understand and sympathize with your desire for a simple hello. I also understand that there is little time to waste in a bullet game and that people who can manage a running commentary while playing (like Daniel Rentsch) are quite rare.
Perhaps you are one of them. How fortunate for you.
Alas, many are not so swift of mind and get flustered when someone wants to say hello. They don't know if you just want to say hello or if you are opening a distraction gambit.
Facing an unusual distraction, turning off chat is mainly practical. It is probably not meant to be rude.
Evidently, you take it that way. According to many of the notes left on your page, you go far beyond politely explaining your decision to excuse yourself from rematches when people have disabled chat and use extremely insulting terms yourself when you leave notes on their pages.
I think you should remain polite.
